On the Campus platform, there are two ways to assign courses to your students:
1. Cohort assignment
Course Assigners can create cohorts of students, assign entire courses for the cohorts to take, and track the progress of each student within the cohort. This method is ideal for faculty who want to assign full courses and monitor their students’ progress.
For detailed instructions, please refer to our Faculty User Guide.
2. Direct links to specific course content
Faculty can log into the platform to evaluate content and generate links to specific course content using the Content Share feature. When students click on the link, they are prompted to log in or create an account to access the content. Learners are automatically enrolled in the course.
Note:
- Course content assigned via direct links will not appear as “assigned” on the students’ dashboards.
- Students will not be included in a cohort, and their progress cannot be tracked by faculty.
This method is best for faculty who want to direct students to specific modules or topics within a course without needing access to progress reports.
For detailed instructions, please refer to How do I link to a module/topic in Sage Campus?
Combining Both Methods
Both methods can be used together. For example, a faculty member can assign a course to a cohort and then generate a direct link to a specific module within that course to share with students. This way, they can track the progress of that module via the cohort reports.
