How to Create Your First Account with the Institutional Admin Role

Sage will send secondary Sage Secure Center login details that need to be used to get authenticated on the Campus platform. It will enable you to create your account with institutional administrator role privileges on the platform. If you try to register on the platform without the Secure Center credentials, you'll only have learner privileges on the platform which will prevent your institution from taking full advantage of the platform.

For more information, please see our video on how to create the first account with an Institutional Administrator role.

To register as the institutional administrator, follow these 3 one-time steps:

1. Go to https://classroom.sagepub.com/login

2. Use your secondary Secure Center account username and password, which you can find in your welcome letter, to get recognized as a user from your institution and subsequently to trigger Campus' registration form.

3. Fill in your details (email, name, surname, password) in the registration form before clicking 'Register' to create your Sage Campus account. Note: you will need the email and password to sign in in the future

How to Create a Second and Subsequent Accounts with the Institutional Admin Role

There are 2 ways of achieving this and both can be done only if the first account with an institutional administrator role has already been created:

The first way should be used when a person you want to have institutional administrator privileges hasn’t been registered yet

  1. Navigate to “My profile”
  2. Select “Manage institution”
  3. Click “Invite new user”
  4. Key in their name, surname, and email address
  5. Select the Institutional Administrator role
  6. Click “Invite user”

Once you’ve done the last step they will be sent an email with an invitation link. It’s worth noting that this email may end up in their spam folder and they may not see it.

The second way should be used when a person you want to have Institutional Administrator privileges has already been registered:

  1. Navigate to “My profile
  2. Select “Manage institution”
  3. In the table find the person you want to assign the institutional administrator role to (if there are a lot of rows in the table you can use the search function to find a particular person)
  4. Click “Edit”
  5. Select the Institutional Administrator role
  6. Click “Update user

When this user signs in next time, they’ll sign in with an Institutional Administrator role.
